Detailed description
Congenital double lip is a condition where the mucous membrane of the upper or lower lip, or both, is abnormally structured compared to a normal person. The affected lip(s) appear thicker, and a depression gradually forms in the middle of the thickened lip, making it seem as if there are two layers superimposed.
Congenital double lip is rare clinically and is more commonly observed in the upper lip.
