Detailed description
Ventricular premature beats (VPBs), also known as premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), refer to premature heartbeats originating from abnormal electrical activation in the ventricles, occurring before a normal heartbeat.
The symptoms of VPBs vary greatly. Many patients are asymptomatic, while symptomatic individuals may experience palpitations or a "skipped beat" sensation. Patients with severe symptoms may experience fatigue, syncope, or angina.
