Ureteral calculi

Stones located in the ureter are called ureteral stones. Ureteral stones and kidney stones both belong to upper urinary tract stones, and approximately 90% of ureteral stones originate from kidney stones. Ureteral stones are a common disease in urology, accounting for 33% to 54% of urinary system stones. The global incidence rate is about 4% to 15% and has been on the rise in recent years.
