Testicular torsion

Testicular torsion is a condition in which the spermatic cord, which supplies the testicle, twists, thereby blocking the blood supply to the testicle and causing testicular damage or necrosis. The spermatic cord is a cord-like structure that suspends the testicle and contains abundant blood vessels, nerves, etc., which provide blood supply to and innervate the testicle. This disease is common in the neonatal period (within 28 days after birth) and adolescence (13 to 16 years old). The main symptoms include scrotal swelling, intermittent or persistent scrotal pain, with the pain radiating to the inguinal region (groin, both sides of the lower abdomen).
