Anal fissure

Anal fissure is a tear or crack in the skin of the anal canal, most commonly located in the posterior midline of the anal canal. The incidence of anal fissure ranks second only to hemorrhoids among anorectal diseases and can occur at any age, but is more common in young and middle-aged adults. The typical symptoms of anal fissure are severe anal pain, bloody stools, and constipation.
