Varicose veins

Varicose veins refer to a condition where veins become tortuous and dilated due to blood stasis, increased venous pressure, and weakened vessel walls. Clinically, common types include lower extremity varicose veins, esophageal and gastric fundal varices, and varicocele, with lower extremity varicose veins being the most prevalent. This article will primarily focus on lower extremity varicose veins. The main symptoms include subcutaneous veins appearing dark blue, swollen, and twisted. Some individuals may not experience any symptoms.
