Mesenteric ischemic disease

Mesenteric ischemic disease is a condition caused by acute or chronic insufficient blood perfusion to the intestines or obstructed blood return, leading to a lack of blood supply to the intestinal wall and mesentery. This results in ischemia and necrosis of certain intestinal segments, and severely impairs intestinal motility. This disease is common in elderly individuals. The main symptoms include abdominal pain and frequent nausea and vomiting.
