Deep vein thrombosis

Deep vein thrombosis is a condition characterized by impaired venous return due to abnormal blood clotting within the deep veins. It commonly occurs in individuals who are bedridden for extended periods, have immobile limbs, or have undergone major surgery or trauma. It frequently affects the lower extremities, and a detached thrombus can lead to pulmonary embolism.
