Intravenous leiomyomatosis

Intravenous leiomyomatosis (IVL), also known as intravascular leiomyomatosis, endovascular leiomyomatosis, or angioleiomyoma of the uterus, is a rare and special type of uterine leiomyoma characterized by the growth of uterine leiomyoma into the lumen of veins, or the proliferation of smooth muscle tissue from the vein wall itself protruding into the lumen. The main symptoms include irregular vaginal bleeding, menorrhagia, or abdominal mass.
