Retroperitoneal hematoma

Retroperitoneal hematoma is a common complication after lumbosabdominal injury, mostly seen in pelvic and spinal fractures. It is caused by direct or indirect trauma, leading to retroperitoneal visceral bleeding and subsequent hematoma formation. The mortality rate after onset is as high as 35% to 42%, and the incidence is increasing year by year.
