Dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) refers to abnormal uterine bleeding caused by female endocrine dysfunction, rather than by pregnancy, endometrial tumors, infections, hematological diseases, liver and kidney diseases, thyroid diseases, or reproductive system malformations. This condition is divided into two types: anovulatory and ovulatory. Anovulatory DUB is more common in adolescent and menopausal women, while ovulatory DUB is more common in women of reproductive age. The main symptoms of anovulatory DUB include irregular menstruation, abnormal menstrual volume, duration, and frequency. The main symptoms of ovulatory DUB include a short menstrual cycle, or a normal menstrual cycle with intermenstrual bleeding.
