Detailed description
Uterine prolapse refers to the uterus descending from its normal position along the vagina, or even protruding outside the vagina. It can occur in women of any age, but is common in postmenopausal women who have experienced one or more vaginal deliveries. Mild cases are usually asymptomatic, while severe cases may present with lumbosacral pain or a feeling of heaviness, and a mass protruding from the vagina.
