The vulva is the skin area surrounding the urethra and vagina, including the clitoris and labia. Vulvar cancer is a type of cancer that occurs on the external surface of the female genitalia. The incidence of this disease increases with age, and it is more common in postmenopausal women. Squamous cell carcinoma is the predominant histological type, accounting for about 90% of vulvar cancers. Common symptoms include vulvar itching, pain, and lumps.
