Senile vaginitis

Senile vaginitis refers to the inflammation caused by the overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria due to the decline of ovarian function, decreased estrogen levels, vaginal wall atrophy, and reduced local resistance to viruses in postmenopausal women. It is common in women after natural or artificial menopause, mainly presenting as abnormal vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, and burning.
