Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis is a general term for diseases caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, Trichomonas hominis, and Trichomonas tenax, which parasitize the human urogenital tract, intestines, and oral cavity, respectively. Trichomonas vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis is the most common. It is common in women aged 16-35, with the main symptoms being increased vaginal discharge and vulvar itching. The typical characteristics of the discharge are thin purulent, yellow-green, frothy, and foul-smelling.
