Uterus didelphys

Uterus didelphys is a congenital uterine anomaly where the two paramesonephric ducts fail to fuse completely during fetal development, resulting in two separate cervices and two uterine bodies. Most patients also have two vaginas, and each uterus has a single fallopian tube and ovary. Patients are usually asymptomatic and are often diagnosed due to abnormal menstrual bleeding, prolonged menstruation, dysmenorrhea, or during reproductive age due to infertility, miscarriage, abnormal fetal presentation, or premature birth.
