A bicornuate uterus is a congenital uterine anomaly where the two Müllerian ducts fail to fuse completely during early embryonic development, resulting in a uterus with a heart-shaped appearance due to the incomplete fusion of the uterine fundus. The main clinical symptoms include pelvic pain, prolonged bleeding during menarche or other abnormal bleeding, recurrent pregnancy loss, or preterm birth.
