Pregnancy-induced hypertension

Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are a group of conditions characterized by the coexistence of pregnancy and hypertension, including gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, eclampsia, chronic hypertension with superimposed preeclampsia, and chronic hypertension complicating pregnancy. These conditions typically manifest after 20 weeks of gestation and are significant causes of maternal and neonatal mortality. Key symptoms include hypertension, edema, proteinuria, dizziness, headache, upper abdominal discomfort, chest tightness, and nausea and vomiting.
