Eclampsia

Preeclampsia is a condition characterized by new-onset hypertension after 20 weeks of gestation and damage to organs, including the kidneys. Eclampsia is the occurrence of generalized seizures that cannot be explained by other conditions, developing on the basis of preeclampsia, representing its most severe stage. It remains a significant cause of maternal morbidity and mortality.
