Antepartum hemorrhage

Antepartum hemorrhage refers to abnormal vaginal bleeding caused by certain high-risk factors after 28 weeks of pregnancy. It is a pathological manifestation that needs to be differentiated from bloody show. Bloody show is a normal physiological manifestation before delivery, usually involving a small amount of vaginal bleeding 24 to 48 hours before labor, often with some blood mixed in the secretions, indicating the onset of labor.
