Abnormal uterine contractions

Uterine power is the force that expels the fetus from the uterus during labor. Uterine contractions are the primary force and are present throughout the entire labor process. Abnormal uterine power refers to abnormal uterine contractions, meaning that uterine contractions lose their rhythmicity and symmetry, or their intensity and frequency are too strong or too weak. The main symptoms include the mother feeling restless and anxious, experiencing persistent lower abdominal pain that worsens with pressure. Uterine inertia is more common in primiparas, especially those over 35 years old.
