Male infertility

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) standards, male infertility is defined as the inability of a couple of reproductive age to conceive after one year of regular unprotected sexual intercourse, where the female partner has no infertility issues, and the cause is attributed to the male partner. The epidemiological data for male infertility vary widely. According to WHO statistics, the prevalence of infertility in developing countries ranges from 8% to 25%, with male factors alone potentially accounting for 20% to 30% of these cases.
