Asthenozoospermia is diagnosed when a patient has a normal sperm concentration but reduced sperm motility, meaning that within 1 hour after ejaculation, the percentage of progressively motile sperm is less than 32%, or the total sperm motility is less than 40%. Apart from a lower chance of conception, there are usually no other symptoms.
