It is characterized by persistent or recurrent symptoms of digestive dysfunction such as postprandial fullness, early satiety, anorexia, belching, nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, epigastric burning sensation, or acid reflux, but with organic lesions excluded after examination.
