Pediatric hematuria

Pediatric hematuria refers to the presence of red blood cells in the urine exceeding the normal range. Pediatric hematuria is classified into gross hematuria and microscopic hematuria. Gross hematuria is characterized by urine that is visibly pink, cloudy, tea-colored, or bright red, and may even contain blood clots. Microscopic hematuria is diagnosed when an increased number of red blood cells is detected only under a microscope.
