Neonatal hemolysis

Neonatal hemolysis is a disease caused by maternal-fetal blood group incompatibility, where the infant experiences hemolysis, a phenomenon in which red blood cells rupture and hemoglobin escapes from inside the cells to the outside. It is observed only during the fetal and neonatal periods. The main manifestations include varying degrees of anemia, yellow skin, yellow sclera (whites of the eyes), and hepatosplenomegaly.
