Pediatric peptic ulcer

Pediatric peptic ulcer refers to the damage, ulceration, and necrosis of the gastrointestinal mucosa due to various pathogenic factors. After the necrotic tissue detaches from the original tissue, a local tissue defect is formed. Gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers are more common. This disease is common in school-aged children, with a higher incidence in boys than in girls. The main symptoms include upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. In severe cases, symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding such as hematemesis and melena may occur.
