Congenital nephrotic syndrome in children typically refers to nephrotic syndrome that develops within 3 months after birth.
This condition is relatively rare in China. Currently, research primarily focuses on the Finnish type, which is more prevalent. Finnish-type congenital nephrotic syndrome is currently the most common primary congenital nephrotic syndrome, predominantly occurring in Finland and among the Finnish population.
Over 80% of affected children are due to gene mutations.
