Thymic hypoplasia

Thymic hypoplasia, also known clinically as congenital thymic aplasia, is an autosomal dominant or recessive inherited disease. Since the thymus is an immune organ, thymic hypoplasia leads to abnormal immune function, and patients may experience recurrent viral or fungal infections.
