Neonatal asphyxia

Neonatal asphyxia refers to the condition where a newborn, due to various causes before birth in the uterus, during birth, or after birth, fails to breathe spontaneously or establish regular breathing within one minute after birth, leading to hypoxia and subsequent multi-organ dysfunction. Following neonatal asphyxia, prompt and effective artificial ventilation resuscitation is crucial. Otherwise, irreversible multi-organ damage or central nervous system sequelae may occur, potentially leading to death due to multi-organ failure.
