Detailed description
Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is an essential vitamin that the human body cannot synthesize on its own.
Vitamin B2 deficiency is a disease caused by a lack of vitamin B2 in the human body, characterized primarily by damage to the skin and mucous membranes.
It is a common nutritional deficiency disease in China. According to surveys, over 90% of adults in China have low levels of vitamin B2 in their urine.
The symptoms of this disease are not distinctly specific. In cases of severe deficiency, it can easily lead to mucosal lesions, such as thinning of the mucous membranes, damage to the mucosal layer, and rupture of microvessels, subsequently causing angular cheilitis, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, cheilitis, glossitis, oral ulcers, dryness of the ear and nasal mucous membranes, and dry, flaky skin.
