Erythema multiforme is an acute inflammatory skin disease characterized by target-shaped or iris-like erythematous lesions, often symmetrically distributed on the extremities, frequently accompanied by mucosal involvement, and prone to recurrence. This disease is more common in spring and autumn, with a slightly higher incidence in males than females, and the highest incidence occurring between 10 and 30 years of age.
