Molluscum contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum, commonly known as "water warts," is a common infectious skin disease caused by the molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV). Symptoms include millet-sized to soybean-sized, dome-shaped or hemispherical papules, which are densely distributed, have a waxy luster on the surface, and have an umbilicated depression in the center from which a cheese-like molluscum body can be expressed. The lesions can persist for several months to several years. However, most patients spontaneously recover within 6 to 9 months.
