Pediatric adenoid hypertrophy

Adenoids, also known as pharyngeal tonsils, are located at the junction of the superior and posterior walls of the nasopharynx, between the two pharyngeal recesses. Adenoid hypertrophy in children refers to the pathological enlargement of adenoid lymphoid tissue due to repeated stimulation, leading to various clinical symptoms such as nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea, snoring, and mouth breathing.
