Childhood conductive hearing loss

Pediatric conductive hearing loss is a hearing impairment caused by lesions in the outer and middle ear. The human ear is divided into the outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear. Sound travels from the outer ear through the middle ear to the inner ear. The outer and middle ear are part of the sound conduction system. When the sound conduction system is damaged, but the sensory structures of the inner ear are normal, the resulting hearing impairment is conductive hearing loss.
