Acute suppurative otitis media

Acute suppurative otitis media is an acute purulent inflammation of the middle ear mucosa caused by bacterial infection. This disease is highly prevalent in infants and young children (0-3 years old), with the highest incidence in spring and winter. Clinically, it is characterized by ear pain, purulent discharge from the ear, tympanic membrane congestion, and perforation.
