Aggressive behavior in children

Aggressive behavior, also known as aggression, refers to an individual's intentional actions to cause physical and mental harm to others, which are not sanctioned by social norms. Aggressive behavior in children primarily manifests in two ways: first, physical aggression, which involves using body parts or weapons to kick or hit others; second, verbal aggression, such as bullying others through ridicule, sarcasm, slander, or verbal abuse. There are two peak periods for aggressive behavior in children: one from 3 to 6 years old, and another from 10 to 11 years old. Boys primarily exhibit physical aggression, while girls mainly display verbal aggression. Aggressive behavior in children can easily lead to interpersonal conflicts, hinder the formation of good interpersonal relationships, and impede the smooth development of children's personality and socialization.
