Neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis

Neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis refers to a necrotting disease of the intestine in newborns caused by intestinal infection due to various reasons. It is a severe gastrointestinal emergency in neonates. This disease is more common in premature infants, characterized by abdominal distension, vomiting, and bloody stools. Severe cases can lead to shock and multiple organ failure.
