Tenosynovitis

A tendon sheath is a semicircular structure near a joint that encircles and stabilizes the tendon. Tendinitis is an inflammation of the tendon sheath caused by various factors, with chronic overuse being the most common. When a joint moves, the tendon and its sheath rub against each other. Excessive friction between them can lead to tendinitis. Tendinitis is a common clinical condition that can occur at any age, predominantly affecting middle-aged women.
