Scoliosis

Scoliosis refers to a spinal deformity characterized by a lateral curvature of one or more segments of the spine, often accompanied by vertebral rotation. This condition is common during adolescence. Mild scoliosis typically presents with no obvious clinical symptoms, but as the condition progresses, it can affect the growth and development of infants and adolescents. In severe cases, it can even impact cardiopulmonary function, compress the spinal cord, and lead to paralysis.
