Eversion of foot

Pes valgus refers to a condition where the foot is everted (sole turned outward) due to an imbalance of forces on the medial and lateral sides of the foot, caused by congenital or acquired factors. The foot presents with collapsed arches, hindfoot valgus, and forefoot abduction deformity relative to the hindfoot. Early stages of pes valgus may be asymptomatic, but as the condition progresses, symptoms such as pain, swelling, and abnormal gait may appear. Pes valgus in children is common in those with cerebral palsy. In adults, pes valgus can be a continuation of childhood pes valgus or caused by diseases, trauma, etc., and is more common in women.
