Arthralgia

Arthralgia is a common clinical symptom. It can be confined to a single joint or affect multiple joints, and may even be accompanied by systemic complications. The degree of pain is related to the condition. In mild cases, joint discomfort and soreness are only felt after activity, such as after walking long distances, climbing stairs, or lifting heavy objects. In severe cases, the range of motion of the joint may be limited, requiring the patient to remain still, and any weight-bearing on the affected joint can lead to severe pain. There are many causes of arthralgia, which can be classified into degenerative changes, acute and chronic injuries, rheumatic immune diseases, infections, and other causes. The most common causes are degenerative joint aging, acute and chronic injuries, and inflammation.
