Tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis, is a non-bacterial inflammation at the connection point between some forearm muscles and the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, caused by trauma or chronic strain. Its essence is a degenerative change in tendon tissue. It is called tennis elbow because it is common in tennis players. The main symptom of this condition is pain on the outside of the elbow.
