Knee osteoarthritis

Knee osteoarthritis is a chronic joint disease characterized by degenerative changes in the knee joint cartilage and secondary osteophyte formation. Symptoms of knee osteoarthritis often progress slowly, with knee pain, swelling, stiffness, and deformity gradually appearing over time, leading to restricted mobility. In severe cases, patients may become completely unable to move. It primarily affects adults, with a higher incidence in women than men, and the risk increases with age.
