Thoracic outlet syndrome

Thoracic outlet syndrome refers to a collection of symptoms caused by compression of the brachial plexus or blood vessels in the thoracic outlet (the space between the clavicle and the first rib) due to various reasons. Patients primarily experience pain, numbness, weakness, and even muscle atrophy in the shoulder, arm, and hand. They may also present with symptoms such as coldness, cyanosis in the hand, and diminished or absent arterial pulses.
