Cervical radiculopathy

Cervical radiculopathy is a degenerative disease characterized by the stimulation and compression of cervical nerve roots by protruding intervertebral discs, hypertrophic ligaments, and osteophytes, leading to corresponding symptoms and signs. This condition is common in individuals aged 30-50 years. With changes in lifestyle and work patterns, there is a trend towards younger onset. The main symptoms include radiating pain and numbness from one or both shoulders and neck to the upper limbs. In later stages, upper limb weakness and difficulty with fine motor skills such as writing and buttoning may occur.
