Patellar fracture

The patella, commonly known as the kneecap, is a bone that can fracture due to direct or indirect trauma. This condition is common in individuals aged 20-50, with a higher incidence in males than females. Key symptoms include localized swelling and pain around the patella, inability to actively extend the knee joint, often accompanied by subcutaneous bruising and knee skin abrasions.
