Meralgia Paresthetica

Meralgia Paresthetica refers to a neurological disorder caused by compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve at certain points along its course, leading to increased local pressure and nerve dysfunction. It is commonly seen in middle-aged and older men, primarily presenting as numbness in the anterolateral thigh, often accompanied by burning pain and hyperalgesia in the distribution area of the nerve.
