Femoral neuralgia is pain distributed along the femoral nerve, specifically from the groin down the anterior thigh, to the medial aspect of the knee joint, and the medial malleolus of the lower leg. It commonly affects young and middle-aged men, often unilaterally. The main clinical manifestations are severe neuropathic pain and hyperalgesia in the anterior thigh.
