Osgood-Schlatter disease

Osgood-Schlatter disease, primarily seen in adolescents during their growth spurt, is caused by rapid growth, immature and unstable bones, and repeated traction or trauma, leading to epiphysitis. It mainly presents as swelling and pain below the knee. Most patients recover spontaneously after skeletal maturity or by ceasing strenuous activities.
